I am a hockey player, and I want to make the NHL when I grow up. The NHL stands for the National Hockey League. I'm in a class where you use a stick and gear. Once I pass I'll be ready to try out for the rink team or go to another kids hockey league.
At first, I looked like this.
Now, I look like this, and I am doing all sorts of fun drills.(The kids in the back of are members of the rink team that I will hopefully play for).
I'm been thinking about the long road I have to reach my goal, but I'm sure it's worth it.Do you play hockey?

You asked if I play hockey. No, I don't. However, when I was in college, I played a type of hockey. It was called broom hockey. Everyone ran around the court with brooms instead of hockey sticks. I think the ice hockey way is much better!
What drills do you do? Which are your favorites and which ones do you dislike the most?

You asked what drills I do. My favorite drill is probably the one where we have to pass it to our coach and go around him with a crossover. Then coach passes it to us, and we go and take a shot.
You also questioned what drills I dislike. I would say that I have a lot of drills I don't like. I don't like the ones where you don't get to shoot.

I think you will make a great hockey player, but it is a big commitment. Believe me, once your parents have bought your gear they are not going to let you quit. And, you're not going to go straight to the class I'm going to. You have to pass two other classes before you even get to bring your stick on the ice.
